The Region VI Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC) is proud to announce our next lunchtime learning session on “how to” Excel pivot tables. Our speakers will provide their expertise on using Excel to organize and analyze data, providing learners with a step-by-step demonstration that facilitates a hands-on, follow the instructor model.
Join us on September 8, 2026, with Lauren Russell and Cecilia Fajardo from Stanford University. Both have extensive experience in research finance as well as in using Excel and other tools to manage complex data across multiple portfolios.
Lauren Russell is a Research Finance Manager on Stanford School of Medicine’s Pediatrics Central Research Administration Finance Team (PCRAFT), where she supports faculty in the divisions of hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation and regenerative medicine. She is a Certified Research Administrator whose fifteen-year career has included pre- and post-award roles across a variety of institutional types and academic disciplines. She holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor.
Cecilia Fajardo is a Finance Manager in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University, supporting the Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine teams. Manages both research and non-research finance with in-depth expertise across the full pre- and post-award lifecycle, from proposal development and budget preparation through award management, compliance, and closeout. Extensive professional experience and a proven track record reflect deep expertise developed through years of progressive responsibility in research and non-research finance administration.
