The Region VI Membership & Volunteer Committee is the first line of contact for the Executive Committee when planning events for the national and regional meetings, as well as for other regional programming.

Members who have knowledge in specific subject areas are encouraged to share their expertise through serving as presenters and discussion facilitators for the yearly regional meeting.  The yearly call for proposals for the Regional Meeting is the perfect opportunity to submit for a session proposal for a presentation or discussion session.

Additionally, Regional Meetings need member volunteers for the registration desk as well as for behind-the-scenes roles.

Members are also encouraged to get involved by volunteering at the Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, as well as by serving on a standing committee, which are typically yearlong positions that provide additional opportunities to network with colleagues and support the Region.

Members who are interested in getting involved in Region VI are encouraged to contact Mich Pane, Chair of the Membership & Volunteer Committee, at michiko@stanford.edu.
