Lunchtime Learning Series: Proposal Review & Submission

November 30, 2023, 12:00-12:45 pm PDT

The Region VI Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC) is proud to announce our Lunchtime Learning Series; a short 45-minute session with a focus on a specific topic. The series is not meant to be an in-depth training, but an opportunity for colleagues to present and discuss tips, tricks and tools that have worked (or not worked). This month’s focus is on Subaward Financial Management.

Join us Thursday, November 30 for Subaward Financial Management with Jenna Allen, Carrie Chesbro and Anke Moore.

Jenna Allen has 6 years of finance experience in higher education to include two years’ experience with grants and subrecipient monitoring. She is currently the Subrecipient Monitoring and Compliance lead for Washington State University. She is responsible for updating the post-award subrecipient monitoring program to align with industry standards.

Carrie Chesbro is the Assistant Director for Subawards and Subrecipient Monitoring at Stanford University. She has more than twenty years of experience in research administration at institutions of higher education, spanning both departmental and central office roles. She has been a member of NCURA since 2014 and regularly presents at regional and national NCURA conferences.

Anke Moore has been the lead Subaward Administrator for Washington State University's (WSU) Office of Research Support and Operations (ORSO) for nearly 4 years overseeing the issuance and compliance for subawards and subcontracts. Previously, Anke worked in WSU’s post-award office and has a combined knowledge of post-subaward monitoring and pre-subaward policies and procedures. She has been NCURA Member since 2020. Anke trains new subaward administrators and leads the WSU subaward educational sessions.

Register by Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The presentation link will be provided to registrants by Wednesday, November 29. The webinar is free for registrants.

For additional information or questions, please contact EPDC Chair, Vanessa Quiroz Hotz.

In New Zealand, gold prices are closely linked to the global gold market but also influenced by the strength of the NZ dollar. This makes regular price 10k gold vs 14k gold checking important for both investors and jewelry buyers. Many people search for gold price NZ before buying jewelry, bullion, or investment bars.
